MARCH, 2026

Hello Class of '80 Peeps:

If you missed our 45th reunion last summer, you missed a good time! Fortunately, in about four-and-a-half years we will gather again for our 50th

"I almost hate to say it, but that was actually a lot of fun and a great idea," we overheard one of our old curmudgeons say!

About 40 alums and significant others attended with lots of hugs, a few forgotten names and lots of updates   ... a few new body parts ... some old flames renewed and a couple of surprise visitors but some notable absences ... Reunions are much more important than golf tournaments and new hips!  No excuses for next time

The best part was watching old friends reconnect as though it were just yesterday when we walked the halls of Hudson High, went to concerts at Blossom, partied in each other's basements and attended our graduation at E. J. Thomas Hall.

Check out a couple of the attached photos!  You might even recognize a few people

The current Olympics have some of us remembering the "Miracle on Ice"  One of the greatest highlights of our senior year!

The world was tense -- and it wasn't just because we were trying to graduate -- it was the Iranian Hostage Crisis and the Soviets had invaded Afghanistan...And the Soviets were the shoe-in to win the gold in Lake Placid, NY.

DID YOU KNOW?...

* The Soviets were Ranked #1 and the USA was ranked #7 going into the games?

* The Soviets had won gold in 5 of the 6 previous Olympics?

* The USA had the youngest of all teams in the Olympics...And while other countries allowed professionals to play, the USA team was all amateurs?

* The USA was down 3-2 going into the final period?

*  The USA scored two goals in that period?

*  Al Michaels is the emcee who shouted, "DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES? YES!" at the winning goal?

* The USA had one more game after it and went on to beat Finland?

The movies and documentaries are fun and inspiring

Where did you watch the Miracle on Ice? Take our quick survey -- and there might be a few questions about our upcoming 50th reunion, too! https://forms.gle/S7BeooZY2zP14b5b8
